Nunatak sculptural candle holder

The sculptural four-armed candelabra in cast iron is designed by the Norwegian design duo Anderssen & Voll. The shape resembles something architectural and has a reference to geological formation which is also reflected in the name Nunatak, meaning a hill or mountain completely surrounded by glacial ice. 

The shape of the candelabra was inspired from a very intuitive feeling trusting the hands to create the object. After sketching it was made using a 3-D printer. The final Nunatak piece is hand-moulded from clay and then cast in iron for satisfying heft and stability. The candleholder's unique and expressive shape exemplifies true sculptural quality and the final object is very monumental and a perfect stand alone piece.
